Select the mouse, right-click on it and then click on properties click the update driver button in the driver tab. If this does not work, then you have the option to update your mouse driver manually. Right-click, select properties, and then press update driver in the driver tab. You will see a small yellow icon on your mouse under the mice and other pointing devices menu.
Head to the device manager and select the mouse option to see if there is an issue with the mouse driver.
